My name is Jennifer. I am so proud of Toronto Mandarin School – our dedicated teachers, our supportive families and our enthusiastic students. After co-founding the school 20 years ago, I’ve watched students – year after year – achieving their goals and moving forward with more confidence and greater opportunities. Learning a new language is like coming to Canada and learning English, my life changed. Learning a new language is like opening a new window to see the world. Let’s explore it together.

Our story

6 Locations

Toronto Mandarin School was founded in 2000. In the beginning we started with only 23 students. Now we boast 80+ teachers, 60+ courses, thousands of students at 9 locations across the Greater Toronto Area.

Goal behind Education platform

Our primary goal is to teach our students Puthonghua (standard Mandarin), modern Chinese phonetic system (Hanyu Pinyin), and simplified Chinese characters, using the official language system of simplified Chinese characters, using the official language system of Mandarin Chinese.

Our mission

To move our students to excel with core mission: To have and educate others about the Chinese language and culture, and to break down barriers understanding and appreciation of the world beyond our borders.
