Celebrating
Culture Together
At Toronto Mandarin School, learning Mandarin goes beyond the classroom. Through local cultural activities and seasonal celebrations, students experience traditions such as Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, and other community events that bring language and culture to life.
Let’s Experience Culture
Beyond the Classroom
Learning Mandarin is more than studying a language. Through local celebrations and school events, students experience the traditions, stories, and community spirit that make Chinese culture vibrant and meaningful.

Chinese New Year
Each year, our school celebrates Chinese New Year with festive activities that introduce students to one of the most important traditions in Chinese culture. Students participate in crafts, games, storytelling, and cultural performances while learning about the meaning behind the holiday. Families and students enjoy making lanterns, writing spring couplets, and sharing traditional foods. These activities help students connect language learning with cultural traditions in a fun and meaningful way.
