Choose the right next story
Levelled reading gives learners a clear path from familiar vocabulary to new ideas. The right story should feel comfortable enough to understand and interesting enough to invite another page.
Read once for the main idea, mark only the words that block meaning, and read again aloud. Afterward, retell the story in two or three sentences. This cycle makes progress visible without turning reading into a test.
